What is DigestZen Digestive Blend?

doTERRA DigestZen is one of doTERRA’s most popular essential oil blends. It’s one of our Top 10 essential oils, and is featured in many of our essential oil starter kits.

In Canada, it is known as ZenGest.

DigestZen (or ZenGest) contains a blend of essential oils which are targeted to support your digestive system. It can be used topically, aromatically, or internally for digestive health benefits.

It’s perfect to have on hand as a natural way to handle occasional upset stomachs. Its calming aroma helps to relieve those queasy feelings.

How to use DigestZen Digestive Blend

dōTERRA DigestZen can be used topically, internally, or aromatically. For best results, try all 3 ways!

Topical Use of DigestZen

combine 1-2 drop of digestzen with fractionated coconut oil and rub on abdomen

Internal Use of DigestZen

add 2-4 drops to a veggie capsule and swallow
put a drop of DigestZen under your tongue
Add 1-2 drops of DigestZen to a glass of water and drink

Aromatic Use of DigestZen

add 3-4 drops to the diffuser of your choice
place 1-2 drops in the palm of your hand, rub hands together and inhale deeply to help relieve nausea

DigestZen Rollerbottle Recipes

Rollerbottle recipes are a convenient way to apply DigestZen! You’ll need a 10 ml empty roller bottle, fractionated coconut oil, and the essential oils for each recipe.

Add the essential oils to your empty roller bottle, top with fractionated coconut oil, and give it a shake!

To make it easier to fill roller bottles, I like to use a pump in my fractionated coconut oil bottle.

I also recommend labelling your roller bottles, because as much as you think you will remember what’s in them and what they are for, I promise you, you won’t. 😉

I like to use my label maker to label my roller bottles.

Road Trip

10 drops DigestZen
5 drops Ginger

DigestZen Diffuser Blend Recipes

Diffusing essential oils is a great way to experience their aromatic benefits. If you don’t have a diffuser yet, check out this post about different types of essential oil diffusers.

To use your essential oil diffuser, add the number of drops from the recipe, and top your diffuser off to the fill line with room temperature tap water. Replace the lid. Turn your diffuser on using the settings of your choice.

There are even portable diffusers you can get for your vehicle! This enables you to take the benefits of essential oils on the road with you.

Additional Precautions for DigestZen Essential Oil

Although doTERRA essential oils are 100% pure and natural, it’s still wise to take precautions when using them. Essential oils are extremely potent (1 drop of peppermint oil is the equivalent to 28 cups of peppermint tea), so they should be treated with respect.

Always order your essential oils directly from doTERRA or through a trusted Wellness Advocate like myself. Never order doTERRA essential oils through Amazon, eBay, Walmart, or any third party sellers. This is because these are often fake (it’s easy to refill an empty essential oil bottle and replace with a new cap, making it appear legitimate).

Here are some other things to consider when using DigestZen:

possible skin sensitivity if you have sensitive skin
avoid sensitive areas such as eyes and inner ears
keep out of reach of children
always dilute before applying topically, using doTERRA fractionated coconut oil
